GALESI Rino

This is an Italian-made 6.35 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

The markings are in English, which suggests it was manufactured after WWII.

Since the plates have not been removed, the proof house markings are not clearly visible.

According to our Italian expert, this could be a production of Rino Galesi's firm, active between 1914 and 1991, with English markings for export to the United States.

GP with the helpful assistance of Alberto.

My father bought it new in 1966 or 1967.

Galesi mod 503

The gun presented is a Galesi model 503 B of 1966.

Galesi began the manufacture of the weapons with Collebeato (Brescia) in 1921.

It manufactured patented automatic pistols, rifles and revolvers.

In 1924 it had 25 workmen and a hydro-electric machine of a power of 25 - 30 horses.

The activity was taken again by its sons, including one, Guerrino, built in Brescia a factory for the manufacture of pistols with the name of Rigarmi, still in function today.

The principal activity (with, initially, the name of Galesi F.lli - Galesi brothers and after the name of Armi Galesi - AG and still after IAG - Industria Armi Galesi, addresses via Trento, 10/a - Collebeato - Brescia) was the production in the years “60 -” 70 of a series of pistols very pretty to see (Bleah!)

The disassembling of the Galesi pistols (of the first series, i.e. model 5 and 9) can be done with three hands having each one six fingers! It is not too complicated! J
